Recycle old toys for another life

With Christmas not too far off, do you need to make space for some new toys? Maybe you have broken toys you would rather recycle than throw in the bin? If this is you, consider Big W's Toys for Joy program. Its goal is to reduce landfill by recycling preloved toys. In every Big W store you can drop ELIGIBLE toys into the green Toys for Joy collection bin. Donations are passed on to recycling partners who sort the toys. If they are suitable for another life, the Salvation Army sells them. Toys beyond re-use are recycled into raw materials where possible for use in new products in, for example, the carpet-making or building industries.
